The month of April features a Showdown! A stamp set showdown, that is. We’re using one stamp set in various ways. Let’s face it, stamp sets are getting more and more expensive; so we’re here to inspire you by demonstrating how to s-t-r-e-t-c-h those stamps!
If you would like to check out our past technique hops, you can do that here:

You should have arrived here from Amanda. If you're visiting here first, you might want to start at the beginning so you don't miss a thing and increase your chances of winning by leaving a comment on each blog.
Off we are! I looked at my bookcase to find these...
Off we are! I looked at my bookcase to find these...
rather dismal... don't ya think? But... I thought I'd try out a set anyway. And, since Spring is Sprung... I picked...
Super cute, right? And I mixed and matched things up a bit to get these:
Then... I went to slice them up cut them to card-size and...
So I made the most out of them and decided to add a lot of **SPARKLE**! sparkle is like magic. It tends to take away your errors. didn't you know?
See? The sparkly even shows up on photos!!! Woohoo! At least something went right this time...
After coloring... I've got all these card tops! I'm way ahead of the game, now! And just so you know... I'm probably going to give up coloring for a bit.
Now you’re off to visit with Jodie. Hope you had fun and thanks for stopping by. See you next month with another technique!
Here’s the full line-up in case you get lost:
Let that inner kindergartner OUT! You did a great job with coloring and I didn't see any errors before, during or after! Fun hopping with you each month...always look forward to seeing what you do...and say!
ReplyDeleteGotta have sparkle!! I haven't played with this set in ages - you've inspired me to dig it out again. Perfect timing for Mother's Day, too. That watering can and wheelbarrow remind me of my mom! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSparkle is a girl's best friend, don't ya know, lol. You did a great job, Lisa, and coloring is great therapy. I think you should keep on with it. That's not to say I think you need therapy, lol. Thanks for hopping along with the AYOCT bunch!

I didn't know sparkle covers up the oops'ies LOL I have to try this next time. Oh and what do you mean you have to stay within the lines when coloring???? Really??? My niece doesn't think so and told me its alright to do so....so I do LOL. Like always it is so much fun hopping with you Lisa. Thank you for being part of our blog hop again :-) See you next month
ReplyDeleteSo fun and some of my best cards come out of a "whoops" moment. I like the one off the edge because it adds a lot of interest.
ReplyDeleteYou need to try watercolor ... no need to stay in the lines -- it looks better if you don't. I love the sparkle and they really did make a HUGE difference. I always tell people mistakes are an opportunity to embellish, but you knocked it out of the park! They turned out great.
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I love the sparkle! What did you use? Such a nice set for spring!
ReplyDeleteLove the sparkly flowers! Who hasn't stamped and cut incorrectly??? It happens. I rather like just the half of the watering can showing...we all know what it is!
ReplyDeleteSparkle makes everything better!! I love them.
ReplyDeleteI love all the card tops you made and cutting off part of the water can was brilliant (even if it was a mistake)! You have to show us the cards you make with these card fronts. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteLisa, so funny...I am going through the same thing. I am not fond of my coloring skills and I haven't played with my Cricut in a while, time to pull it out. Love what you created!

Beautiful cards & coloring! It was great hopping with you again.
