Get Well Soon Blog Hop

Welcome to the
Get Well Soon Blog Hop
Being Sick is definitely not fun! Recovering from a surgery, accident, or severe illness is even worse. We are here to spread some sunshine and smiles and help inspire you to remember that sending even the simplest of cards to someone when they are feeling bad can help brighten their day.

You should have arrived from Alicia's blog. Did she make you feel better?
If you just happened upon this spectacular hop, Connie Can Crop is the first stop in this hop.

This is a one day blog hop, but you have until Sunday to finish hopping and leaving your comments for all of these amazing crafters.

We have an awesome BRAND NEW sponsor for this month!

Here we are... You're feeling blue? Whelp... I love that color but not that mood! I picked one of the many marbelized backgrounds I'd made last month (you can see that post HERE!) and add some peeking sun/color to the blue skies (because THAT's what I saw in it...)
Um... I swear my space just keeps getting messier... So I segued into my daughter's room and borrowed HER stuff... Teehee! And no... I still haven't found the cords for my machines. Ugh!

My kid loves her watercolor pencils... I love mine, too! if I can ever find them again!
I added a bit of color... it wasn't enough...
And so... I added more (orange, if you can't tell...)...
I can see a bit of color peeking through the blue, can't you??????
A brush alcohol marker sends a message, and water activates the pencils and in case you can't tell... smudges the original background... to prevent the original background (it was paint and shaving cream and a bit of food coloring) from running more, I used my heat tool very quickly which also dried up the alcohol marker WAY too fast and the embossing powder fell off... Ugh... Messy...
It's a tad bit really messy, but I was hoping for a Van Gogh-Starry Night effect... Whataya think? I love it... but I'd definitely go with a much lighter background next time that might not bleed through...

Up next is Miranda (AKA... Nana!). She'll kiss your boo-boo's and make them all better... or make you wish you WERE ill (cough... cough...) so you'd get a goodie (or two) sent to YOU!
Here's our line up in case you get lost:

  3. Lisa, great way to use your stash from the technique hop! And great idea to add color to it. Does it still smell good? My craft room is just now loosing the shaving cream aroma. As always, I love hopping with you and look forward to it each month.
